homemade yogurt and baby food

Hi there, hope you are all enjoying your day.We have been having spring finally.I had posted earlier about yogurt but needed to make a few changes. You can not add anything heated to your yogurt or you will kill some of the good bacteria,so what I HAVE FOUND IS TO ADD YOUR GELATIN OR ARROWROOT RIGHT IN THE BEGINNING WHEN YOU FIRST HEAT YOUR MILK.Once your yogurt is done you need to let it refrigerate before you can add any fruit or sweetener.I just put mine in a food processor and blended the fruit and either agave nectar or honey etc. for a few pulses till smooth and then back in the fridge.All-fruit jam stirred in itworks really nice too. Also if you didn,t want to mess with a thickener you can let your yogurt drip through a sieve and that will thicken it too.If you let it drip for a longer time you have a really nice cream cheese too.The web link I am giving tells you how to make your basic yogurt and also homemade baby food and teething biscuits etc. It is an awesome site especially for mothers of babies who want to make their own nutritious baby food.Just play around with the recipes till you get what you like.so long for now,I just got my new yogurt maker and am going to go try it out.yeahttp://www.wholesomebabyfood.com/makeyogurtforbaby.htm
